Saint Paul is salvation

Posted in Culture of Lickspittle, Psychopath & Sociopath at 11:46 am by George Smith

From New York magazine, best headline for a song that just gets better and better:

“Paul Ryan: Poor People Need Jesus, Not Food Stamps”

Paul Ryan fights poverty by telling the poor they are so because the government gives them SNAP and healthcare and he will fix this by taking that away.

Republican Jesus! Hey, amen!

Today I’m announcing the New America Prizes in the war on poverty, eligible to all with like-minded wonderful ideas.

First Prize in the New America War on Poverty will be: A ride-along with Paul Ryan to “inner city neighborhoods” to pep up the poors on salvation! Second prize: Two ride-alongs with Paul Ryan to “inner city neighborhoods” to pep up the poors on salvation.

Want an MP3 for your device? Use this.

Tips.

The pure milk of American spite — daily, now routine.

To a naive (international) reader some of Ryan’s speeches (as reported) might seem okay … you have to be expert in decoding what these bastards really mean, I suppose.

The site at the end of one click-trail (http://houseofhelpcityofhope.org/) was just a dummy, with a Li Europan placeholder. City of Hope certainly terrfies this old bum.

J.K Rowling did not survive on food stamps (she would have received various cash benefits as a statutory entitlement) … thankfully food stamps are unknown in the UK, although the usual voices on the right (with vocal support from the Murdoch press) have recently been muttering that the poor are too feckless to be trusted with cash which they only waste on booze and cigarettes.

I think it’s different for asylum seekers though:

On a fundamental level, yeah. The realization must arrive that the USA is not now a leading nation at all but a country with the largest military in world history, paralyzed by a corporate fascist/bigot and paranoid political minority that knows well how to use the political system to top from the bottom, to borrow from a concept in BDSM. And there’s no easy solution in sight other than demographic die out. That a Paul Ryan is regularly elected, and profiled without total scorn in the press, is just an indication of systemic senescence and boot-licking. It’s do deeply warped even a book can no longer be enough to describe the phenomenon.

have recently been muttering that the poor are too feckless to be trusted with cash which they only waste on booze and cigarettes.

I gotta song for that. Rich Man’s Burden: “The poor don’t pay enuff, they spend it all on liquor/If we stopped it all right now, we’d get rich a whole lot quicker.”

I think we have the same aggravation toward the world view that holds poverty would just evaporate if the poors found it more and more difficult to have cheap drink.

    Magnifico

    Thanks.

If the professional left dug it any more I’d be able to use the trickle down to buy the daily newspaper.

However, fact is I’ve actually played this stuff, in front of other human beings live, not many, but some. And actual people can hear it, if they want, in Pasadena, on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
