Comedy writers need not apply …

If you watch too many Susie Sampson reports you’re almost tempted to step in front of a bus on seeing the reality of an army of American dolts.

This was shot here.

Famous line: “I went to Cal State Long Beach but I took biology, chemistry, physics and calculus.”

Hat tip to Pine View Farm.

For reasons I can’t explain, I have developed a crush on Susie. Anyone from the South would, or in my case, even a California boy who resided there for a decade or so.

Sort of like a siren of the Odyssey.

Susie’s the ideal person for dealing with the narrow-minded–she’s not only charming, but she’s also direct. And the men she interviews know that. But what do you do when someone mocks your bigotry, ignorance, and hate?

Because Susie knows that both Southern Gentleman & Rednecks alike won’t confront her, because cultural speaking, they you don’t mess with a Southern woman. And even American males who don’t reside in the South instinctively sense danger.

There’s even a Biblical basis for this (I’ve been told), because the second you do, the prince of Light and Darkness walk away: Jesus because he knows what’s coming, and Satan because he’s too embarrassed to stick around for the outcome.

So there’s an ingrained gallantry going on even when they know they’re being set up a bit? I can buy that. She’s always so impeccably dressed in red they must assume she comes from some southern mansion surrounded by magnolias.
